    About Me

    Healing is not a selfish act. It is a necessary act. And a loving act. The more chaos, uncertainty and loss in the world, the more we have to gain in finding our inner stability, voice and insights.

    I have trained in many somatic practices with the aim of helping people connect to peace, calm and power when all seems lost. My first exposure to the healing potential of working with the body came through yoga and qi gong. I became a certified yoga teacher in 2009 and practiced mostly in community support and humanitarian settings because I could see the profound impact that basic yoga principles have on managing stress, trauma and mental health.

    Expanding from group practices in yoga & qi gong to private practices in trauma healing, i became a certified Somatic Experiencing (SE) practitioner in 2018 and a certified international training assistant and approved provider for SE students at all levels by 2025. I'm very proud to have been a core member of the Arabic translation team for the SE trainings in Cairo and to be an accessible Arabic-speaking trauma-healing practitioner.

    I am also IPPD certified, an advanced somatic training for working with Integrated Pre-Natal and Perinatal Dynamics including transgenerational trauma and birth trauma. Lastly, my practice is informed by SE Touch, as well as Neuro Affective Touch for healing earliest wounds, and by the Bodynamics Foundations program which integrates stages of development with stages of sensori-motor function.

    Free Weekly Qi Gong Practice Online

    Join me in these free weekly online sessions of embodiment and qigong. I teach these bi-lingualy in English and Arabic.

    The duration of the session is between 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the flow. You can find the link in bio on my IG account.

    Based on the work of Ray Castellino and as taught by Kate White and Lois Tresize, Combining Somatics with Embryology & Midwifery, IPPD - or Integrated Pre-Natal & Peri-Natal Dynamics - is designed to support trauma healing of the deepest imprint relating to family ancestry, conception and soul journey, in-utero, birth and pre-verbal life experiences.

    Stemming from the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the 5 Elements theory, these mindful flowing movement practices cultivate optimal functioning of the body's vital organs, the spectrum of emotions and state of mind. Especially useful as a preventative measure and for palliative care.

    A touch-based approach to integrating preverbal developmental trauma as developed by Aline la Pierre, this approach combines art therapy, human touch and weighted blankets, recommended for healing early imprints and developmental trauma.

    Custmomized to group needs, from elderly to pregnancy to people with auto-immune disease and those suffering mental health challenges, trauma-informed yoga is a gentle and accessible way to regain a sense of wellbeing in body and mind. Practicing as a group expands the positive effect.

    Community is an important part of healing. Group practices of yoga and qi gong multiply the sense of connection and joy.
